「あそび」とは、ワクワクして没頭するような体験。誰かに言われたからやるとか、はなから目的やルールが決まっているわけではないけれど、なぜだかドキドキして勝手に身体が動いてしまうような。それも真剣に、本気で。
子どもだけじゃなく、大人もあそんで、その背中を子どもたちが見て育つ。時には一緒にあそんだり、逆にカチコチな大人が子どもたちから学ぶことだってあるはず。大人も子どももあそび合い、学び合う場所をつくろう。
テクノロジーが加速度的に進化する現代において、「ワクワクを探究していく」という人間らしさは、これ以上なく重要になっていくのではないでしょうか。未来の仕事はあそびから生まれてくるかもしれませんし、あそびに溢れているまちがこれからの世界を引っ張っていくのかもしれません。「学び」にとことん向き合ってきたハバタクにとっては、学ぶ！という目的や言語的な理由づけ、そこへ至る道筋を手放した領域への挑戦でもあります。
“Playing” is an experience to immerse yourself in an activity with excitement. It is not something you are told to do or has a rule or a goal from the onset, but you do it just because. Your heart pounds, your body moves, and you’re serious about this. Not only the children, but adults also play. The children grow up watching them. 大人も子どもも没頭できる自由空間。まちの遊休不動産を、皆でリノベーションしてあそび場に。
放課後の子どもも、夏休みの子どもも、学校に行かない子どもも、誰かに勉強を相談したい人も、まちの大人も、あそび仲間を探している人も、誰もが「ただで」あそびに来れる場所。とりたてて豪華な遊具や設備もないし、何かあそび方が決まっているわけでもない、「ただの」場所。つまり、「ただのあそび場」。「ただのあそび場」のつくり方は、できる限りオープン化。誰もが自分のまちにあそび場をつくれるようにしていきたい。この世界の、そこかしこがあそび場化していく未来へ。
