"Around the world at Gojome" is a 6-months curriculum Habataku designed and coordinated for 6th grade students at Gojome Elementary School where children interact with foreign exchange students at Akita International University and explore their local community.

[Program]
・First-half: 「Connect with the world」. Every week, we invited exchange students at AIU as guests to our class where they introduced and carried conversation with the children about their home country.
・Second-half: 「Experience the outside world and explore inwards」. We created opportunities for children to research about any topic of interest and held events for children to interact with community specialists in forestry, morning markets, raspberry harvesting, etc.
・Final Wrap UP: A final team presentation on any topic of interest inviting both Japanese and International Exchange Students at Akita Internationnal University.
